MAJiK Systems Selects Microsoft Azure as Cloud Provider for Visual Factory Solution

MAJiK Systems, an IoT-centered software suite that allows manufacturers to drive operational excellence by natively connecting to PLCs and SCADA systems, today announced their selection of Microsoft Azure as their cloud provider for MAJiK’s Visual Factory solution.

This partnership comes on the heels of Microsoft’s announcement in October 2019 that they would be building on their $5 billion IoT plan with new Azure features “to ‘simplify’ customer journeys and deliver ‘highly secured’ IoT solutions.”

MAJiK System’s Visual Factory is the company’s first transactable IoT offer on Azure Marketplace, providing the dashboards and analytics required for lean transformation out-of-the box for manufacturers. Users who collect data with Visual Factory can also easily share it with other Azure services such as PowerApps, PowerBI, Time Series Insights, and Dynamics 365.

Manufacturers need real-time data to plug into their full potential

With the advent of Industry 4.0, manufacturers have felt the pressure to make more data-informed decisions on the factory floor. MAJiK’s Visual Factory solution allows them to do just that by visually displaying production information that allows them to measure and manage KPIs in real time, track and monitor factory operations, and ultimately improve processes.

MAJiK has been a favourite on-premise solution of innovative leaders such as Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee (one of North America’s largest coffee roasters) and Silfab Solar (a North American leader in solar panel production), as well as manufacturing powerhouses like Magna International for many years. Now, MAJiK is bringing its manufacturing software domain expertise to bear on new challenges that its customers face with moving operations to the cloud, integrating more business workflows, and exploring opportunities to leverage Big Data and AI.

MAJiK and Microsoft Azure integrate seamlessly to serve manufacturers

For MAJiK Systems, partnering with Microsoft was an obvious choice. MAJiK’s manufacturing customers already trust Microsoft products in their business and supply chains, and now they can take advantage of the quick integration MAJiK provides to easily connect to their Plant Floor.

“Manufacturers using Microsoft Azure’s cloud-based tools already know the value of using data to drive their operations,” says MAJiK Systems co-founder and COO Jared Evans. “Now with the ability to access real-time equipment and production data using MAJiK’s Visual Factory directly within their Azure tenant, these customers can tie multiple operations and business systems together in real-time and make informed decisions that improve productivity, streamline operations, and upgrade production quality.”
